Sir Bill Cash MP – closure of the B5026 Eccleshall to Stone Road

Wednesday, 28 September, 2016

In relation to the closure of the B5026 Eccleshall to Stone Road, Stone MP, Sir Bill Cash said –

“I am gravely concerned as I have been in contact with a number of my constituents, including local business owners on this matter.

“In relation to the potentially devastating effects on local businesses following the closure of the B5026 Eccleshall to Stone Road, I am in contact with the Government Transport minister, Highways England and the County Council.

“This is having a significant impact upon separate businesses at Eccleshall, Norton Bridge and businesses in Stone and Eccleshall, all within my constituency. As I warned earlier, the huge disruption to my constituents living in and around this area has come to bear and the impact on businesses is significant.

“I have requested urgent assistance for those running businesses along this stretch of road, including the possibility to shorten the closure, ahead of any further disruption and potential threats to business.”
