Bill Cash MP seeks resolution to 249 bus service concerns – for elderly and disabled passengers and parents with pushchairs

 Press release 01/10/2012

Following concerns over the 249 bus service used by Stone constituents, Bill Cash MP said:
“I have been informed that the new service does not appear to offer adequate provisions for elderly or disabled passengers or parents with pushchairs. In particular the absence of lowered floors on the buses poses a real problem to those passengers with specific mobility and disability issues. My constituents are extremely concerned about this change as many in Stone and the surrounding areas will depend on this transport for their everyday activities. I have taken the matter up with Staffordshire County Council and the bus company to seek a resolution to those concerns so that adequate provisions are put in place for those who use the bus service.”
